BAYFORD MEADOWS
18th July 2010

After the disappointment of the last round we opted to purchase two new chassis. We had no time available to test but was confident enough to know that it would be a good step forward. Once at the track, we were faced with the same problem as the last race. The engine revs were down but even worse than the last race. The problem would need a test to resolve. As the race started we were a third of the power down from the engine but the chassis was so good that we held position. We finished the race in 3rd position with a variety of problems. Engine revs, broken clutch, stripped sprocket and stretched chain all contributed to halting our progress but the potential was there and 3rd was a good result. After further investigation we traced our engine problem to a broken HT lead which was not producing a strong enough current to the spark plug. We have high expectations for the next round.
